Ardmore native Adisha Chapman has been reconfirmed by the Senate to a seven-year term on the ĢƵ Board of Regents.
“It’s an honor to continue serving on the ĢƵ State Board of Regents and to support the important work underway at the college,” Chapman said. “I look forward to continuing to advocate for students and to help advance opportunities that strengthen both the institution and the communities it serves.”
Chapman joined the ĢƵ State Board of Regents in 2012, appointed by Governor Fallin, and was reappointed in 2019 by Governor Stitt. She previously served as the board's secretary and, more recently, as its chair. She is part of a multi-generational ranching family that also owns Concentric Consultants, LLC, an oil consulting company.
“We are grateful for Regent Chapman’s service and leadership on the board,” said Dr. Tim Faltyn, ĢƵ President. “Her insight and long-standing commitment to student success remain invaluable as the college’s momentum continues to grow.”
Regent Chapman earned her bachelor’s degree in letters from the University of Oklahoma. She’s also served as a GED instructor with the Ardmore Family Literacy program for eight years.
“During her tenure as board chair, Regent Chapman helped lead the college through a period of meaningful progress,” said Regent Leslie Larsen, ĢƵ Board of Regents Chair. “She brings a thoughtful perspective and a deep understanding of the college’s mission, and we are grateful for her dedication to our students and institution.”
